My name is Angela D. Sacks
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing in the field for over eighteen years. I enjoy the privilege of working with people to help them to learn strategies and acquire tools to improve relationships, increase meaningful and fulfilling activity, and achieve success and satisfaction in their lives.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence-based practice that provides community-based, multidisciplinary mental health treatment for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. During my career, I worked in community mental health on an ACT team for 16 years, the last eight of those years as a team leader. During my time as a team leader, I led the program to become and sustain being a high-fidelity team. I also presented nationally on team effectiveness and leadership skills development. Currently, I am a TMACT (Tool for Measurement of ACT) fidelity reviewer. The TMACT is used to assess ACT fidelity and guide higher quality ACT implementation efforts. As a consultant, I blend evidenced-based theory, practical application, skills, and workflows to train and support teams in delivering high-fidelity services.
I incorporate coaching into both my counseling and consultation work. Specifically, wellness coaching as it relates to the 8 dimensions of wellness (Physical, Spiritual, Social, Intellectual, Emotional/Mental, Occupational, Environmental, Financial), as wellness directly relates to the quality and longevity of one's life.
